@graciejayness You’re lucky, it’s so mystical sounding to me, love it.

I get to sing this with some other ladies in my community. We are singing with an orchestra for Peninsula Music Festival. It is going to be awesome! I am so excited to get this opportunity! This sounds so good. I hope we do just as good!

Wow, this sounds so great with the chorus. I totally love Debussy.

I always like to imagine the Indian sitar being incorporated into this piece, playing in the background.

    ah i see
yea i’m a trumpet player myself so i was wondering about those
    thanks :)

Those are “Rotary Valve” trumpets which many European Orchestras use. You are probably familiar with piston valve trumpets.

were those guys using some kind of weird trumpet or were they just holding them sideways?

My absolute favorite piece of any music in the world, along with Neptune from the Planets of Holst. I treasure this rendition for the choir and boat included in the wonderful display!

This is a great piece of music. However I really prefer the Charles Dutoit/Montreal Symphony recording. To me this is played a little too quickly – I much prefer the moody approach taken by Mr Dutoit. Anyway, five stars for Debussy!
